Health Ministry clamps down on information from hospital administrations

Colombo (News 1st): The Health Ministry today (May 28) announced, the administration of Government Hospitals and other related units must obtain approval from the Health Secretary before making public statements, except for technical matters. Acting Health Services Director General Lal Panapitiya said Administrators of Government Hospitals and related units which come under the scope of the Ministry of Health Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine must pay close attention towards this regulation. He warned, Medical Administrators who fail to comply with this new regulations will be strictly deal with via an inquiry.
