COLOMBO (News 1st): Search operations were conducted by the tri-forces and the police today (May 26). Acting spokesperson for the Army, Major General Roshan Seneviratne claimed that 37 people were arrested on suspicion in these raids.

• Poruthota – Eight suspects arrested
• Periamulla – Three suspects arrested
• Narahenpita and Wanathamulla – Two suspects were arrested along with 15kg of explosives and 60 litres of chemicals used to clean tiles.
• Mawathagama – 19 suspects arrested with pictures and a laptop including Mohamed Zahran’s teachings.
• Naththandiya – Four suspects arrested, one identified as a teacher of Mohamed Zahran
• Bodunpitiya, Welipenna – One suspect arrested along with four swords
• Kegalle – Three swords discovered
