Doctor arrested in Kurunegala, handed over to CID

COLOMBO (News 1st): Segu Siyabdeen Mohamed Saafi, a doctor of the Kurunegala hospital was handed over to the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) this evening (May 25). He was arrested last evening (May 24) with regard to accumulating assets in a suspicious manner.
It is also reported that this is the same doctor who was accused of carrying out illegal sterilization procedures at the Kurunegala Teaching hospital.
