CoA dismisses petition challenging parliamentary seat of PM

Colombo (News 1st): The Court of Appeal today (May 21) dismissed the petition challenging Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's parliamentary seat by citing a number of reasons including the petitioner's failure to produce originals of documents as evidence. Colombo Municipal Councillor Sharmila Gonawela had filed the petition seeking the removal of the premier as a parliamentarian.
