COLOMBO (News 1st): The Police said that the deputy leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, Madhumadawa Aravinda had failed to appear at the Minuwangoda Police even after he was notified to be present to provide a statement today (May 19).

He was due to provide a statement to the police following an allegation that he was around the area where a tense situation was reported on the night of May 13th. The police said that they are in the process of getting legal advice to go to court proceedings as Madhumadawa Aravinda had failed to appear at the Minuwangoda Police.
