Vesak Poya : 762 inmates to be freed with Presidential pardon

Colombo (News 1st): A total of 762 inmates will be granted the Presidential pardon today (May 18) to mark Vesak Poya. The Ministry of Justice and Prison Reforms said the group includes 26 female convicts. The national event to grant the Presidential pardon takes place today at 10 am at the Welikada Prison Grounds under the auspices of the President.
