Over 12,000 deserters rejoin army

COLOMBO (News 1st): 12,299 army deserters and 13 officers have rejoined the service during the general amnesty period that was granted.
The period of amnesty that was declared on the 22nd of April ended at 6.00 pm last evening (May 17).
