Colombo (News 1st): The Meteorological Department issuing a heat index advisory notes the temperature felt on the human body is expected to increase up to ‘Extreme Caution’ level in Trincomalee, Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Killinochchi districts and at some places in North-Central province, Batticaloa and Ampara districts today (May 11).

The Meteorological Department requests the public living in these areas to stay hydrated and to limit strenuous outdoor activities.
