The “Supun Putha 2” and the “Raja 2” fishing trawlers encountered a storm on March 25th. Fortunately, fishermen of the “Raja 2” were rescued by another fishing trawler “Champa 2”.
The fishermen of “Supun Putha 2” had communicated with the fishing trawler “Champa 7” and had explained that their boat was caught in the storm. That was the last time anyone heard from “Supun Putha 2” and its whereabouts are currently unknown.
