Colombo (News1st) – Seven suspects believed to be linked to the National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) have been arrested in the Mukarawewa area in Horowpathana. According to the STF, the suspects were in possession of items and documents related to the organization. The police have also discovered several files and computer parts that had been buried.
Meanwhile, 2 individuals believed to have aided and abetted the terrorist identified as Rilwan, brother of Zahran Hashmi, were arrested in the Kathankudy area today. The STF believes that Rilwan had manufactured bombs in 2018 and had suffered injuries when examining one of the bombs. The arrested suspects are believed to have helped him after the incident.
