Colombo (News 1st): Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekera said the bodies of ten terrorists killed in explosions were buried this afternoon following investigations and post-mortem examinations.
He stressed the burial took place without any religious rites. However, the bodies of the 06 children killed in the explosions were buried as per the religious rites.
SP Ruwan Gunasekera went on to note, the elder sister of suicide bomber Mohamed Zahran, Muhammadu Cassim Madania was arrested by the Batticaloa Police yesterday along with Rs 2 million in cash given to her by the terrorist.
On a separate note, the police media spokesperson said legal action is being taken against several people for spreading false information, photographs and videos in a bid to promote disharmony and the results of these measures will be revealed in the near future.
