DNA test to further prove bombers' identity

Colombo (News 1st): Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake today ordered the Government Analyst to conduct a DNA test with blood samples obtained from the daughter of the terrorist who carried out the suicide attack at the Kingsbury Hotel, in order to confirm his identity, and thereafter submit a report to the court. The Magistrate issued this order based on a request made by the Criminal Investigations Department seeking permission to obtain a blood sample from the daughter of Mohamed Ajaam Mohamed Mubarak, the terrorist who carried out the attack at the Kingsbury Hotel on the 21st, in order to conduct a DNA test. Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake ordered the results of the investigation to be produced before the court on June 12th. Moreover, an order was also issued to conduct a DNA test to confirm the identity of Mohamed Ibrahim Iqbal Ahmed, the terrorist who carried out the attack at the Cinnamon Grand, by obtaining a blood sample from the terrorist's mother.
