COLOMBO (News 1st) – Deputy Minister Buddhika Pathirana shared his views on terrorism at an event held in Matara yesterday(April 28).
The event was organized to present admissions for the 23rd batch of students conducted by the Samadi People Development Foundation. Indian Counsel General Prem Kumar Nair also attended the event as a special guest.
Buddhika Pathirana, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce noted that as a nation Sri Lanka should stand tall against terrorism and other extremists who intend to destroy democracy. According to the minister, another extremist group could emerge opposing another and this is very harmful to a country.
The minister added that terrorism has no religion, race, caste or creed and it should be annihilated from the grass root level.
