COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith addressing the media at the Archbishop’s House noted that Sunday’s attacks were coordinated by an organized group with powerful nations behind them.

His Eminence also noted that these attackers had no religion. Further, he said that it was acceptable to get global assistance against terrorism. Ultimately Sri Lanka itself becoming a part of foreign manipulation would be unbearable and harm the integrity of Sri Lanka.

“The foreign intelligence networks could infiltrate, our own national intelligence agencies and breach our national security” His Eminence added.

Finally, he requested the government to leave aside all political differences and work together at this time to rebuild the country again.
