Ambassadors & HCs from Islamic countries meet with Archbishop of Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st): Following the shocking explosions on Easter Sunday (April 21), dignitaries including High Commissioners and Ambassadors from all Islamic countries visited the Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith. Among them was former Minister Imtiyaz Bakir Makar. Speaking to the media following the meeting, the former minister called on the general public to look at the situations that are unfolding with a broad perspective, in order to understand who benefits from such incidents and what their motives are. He noted that history will look back on this day adding that Archbishop of Colombo, Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has led the Catholic community in an exemplary manner in this time of crisis. He went onto note that Islamic nations will continue to stand by Sri Lanka.
