Colombo (News1st) - On Monday (April 22), Minister Dr Harsha de Silva speaking to CNN said the U.S. and India warned Sri Lanka of imminent attacks before the Easter bombings. To further clarify this claim, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour posed the question to the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alaina Teplitz. However, Ambassador Teplitz denied this claim and stated that the US did not provide Sri Lanka with advance intelligence regarding imminent attacks prior to Easter Sunday. She noted that they had no prior knowledge of this attack.
