COLOMBO (News 1st) – A van was found following an inspection of a residence in Anguruwella, Warakapola.

A search operation last night resulted in the apprehension of a suspect with four walkie talkies and a motorbike.

The police stated that the seized van and the motorbike were two of the suspicious vehicles that they were searching.

A total of two suspects were arrested from the residence.

Additionally, another suspect who had communicated with the suspects was arrested in Hemmathagama.

Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted that a total of 18 suspects have been arrested by the Police and STF in search operations carried out in Aluthgama, Beruwala, Katana and Warakapola.
