Two arrested for spreading false information

Colombo (News 1st): Bloemandhal Police have arrested 2 suspects for spreading false information on water contamination in Colombo. The suspects are residents of Madampitiya, Colombo 15.
The suspects were remanded until May 6th as per the provisions of the Penal Code and the provisions of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
Sri Lanka Police warned strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty of spreading false information.
