Armed Forces and Police given authority to ensure safety

COLOMBO (News 1st): The government has gazetted the Laws on the Prevention of Terrorism under Emergency Regulations at midnight yesterday (April 22). According to the Gazette Notice, the step was taken to give authority to the Police and the three armed forces in order to ensure the safety of the people of Sri Lanka.
