Solar industries push for cleaner energy in SL

Colombo (News 1st): The Solar Industries Association has called on the Government to issue the green light for fixed solar power projects - less than 05 MW - as a long term solution to the present electricity crisis. Solar Industries Association Secretary Lakmal Fernando requested the government to approve these projects without further delay and give serious consideration to promote solar energy. The association, unveiling its own ‘Solar PV Long-term, Least-cost Generation Plan’, requested the government to accommodate the proposals in it, assuring that implementing them would save billions to the country.
