Dubai drug bust: Six more deported to Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A total of six, including a cousin of notorious underworld leader "Makandure Madush", who were recently arrested in Dubai, have been deported to Sri Lanka today(April 17). The Police stated that the group, which had arrived on the island at around 4.50am, have been placed under the custody of the CID for interrogations. The deported persons include Nilan Romesh Samarasinghe a cousin of "Makandure Madush", Mohammed Rizan Mohammed Bathiudeen, Gayan Buddhima Perera, Mohammed Hibry Mohammed Jabeer, Suresh Wasantha Ranasinghe and Rupadasa Simon. The Police added that a total of 21 suspects had been deported to Sri Lanka ever since the arrest in Dubai.
