Two arrested with Rs 4.1mn worth cigarettes at airport

Colombo (News 1st) - A man and a woman were arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake for attempting to smuggle cigarettes to the country. Police stated that the value of the seized cigarettes is approximately Rs 4.1 million. The suspects are two businesspersons from Wewaldeniya. They were released on bail after they were produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court.
