Additional exits opened along the Southern Expressway

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Road Development Authority states that they have taken steps to open additional exits along the Southern Expressway in order to maintain traffic congestion. Director of the Expressway Maintenance and Management Unit, S. Opanayake noted that additional staff have also been deployed for the convenience of the public. Opanayake also advises drivers to inquire about the traffic condition of the exit gates via 1969 before entering the highway. The statistics state that over 100,000 vehicles have travelled on the Southern Expressway from the 10th to the 13th due to the New Year festive season.
