Colombo (News1st) - Leader of the Eelam People's Revolutionary Front or EPRLF Suresh Premachandran, has called on the United National Party to reassess their plans for upcoming elections.
Premachandran noted that a number of UNPers have made statements which note that the Tamil population would vote for the UNP if Gotabaya Rajapaksa comes forward as a presidential candidate.
The EPRLF leader explained that while this government came into power stating that they would resolve the issues faced by the Tamil population, the Tamil community is still attempting to secure their rights. He explained that the Tamil people are not fools and warned the UNP not to assume that other Tamil leaders will make the same mistakes as TNA Leader, R. Sampanthan.
