Parliament can call for special session to decide on Provincial Council Polls - S.M. Ranjith

Colombo (News 1st): Former North Central Province Minister S.M.Ranjith questions how a leadership which cannot face a Provincial Council Election is preparing to face a Presidential Election. He said though Parliament will only convene again in May, there is a possibility of convening a special session to decide if the Provincial Council polls will be held according to the old system or the new system. Ranjith said the President has been requested by the Elections Commission to seek Supreme Court determination on this matter.
