Mt. Lavinia in awe with A-PAD search and rescue demo

Colombo (News 1st): The Mount Lavinia beach was abuzz this morning as a joint demonstration on search and rescue took place wowing many onlookers. The demonstration was organized by Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Sri Lanka (A-PAD Sri Lanka) together with the Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Life Saving. The demonstration was witnessed by members of APAD International. Personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Life Saving, Ironman 4x4 Community Emergency Response Team and volunteers from the private sector including News 1st participated. A series of scenarios including Spinal Management, IRB rescue and Air Rescue was demonstrated at this mornings session.
