Party organized via Facebook raided

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Ten youths and women between 18 and 25 were arrested by the police for the possession of narcotics at a party organized via Facebook which was held in a hotel in Tangalle. Police recovered 10.8 grams of cannabis in their possession. Police also said that the suspects had used audio systems violating the law. The party was raided by police officers attached to the Tangalle, Beliatta and Weeraketiya police stations following a tip-off received by the Tangalle Police HQ Intelligence Unit. All suspects were to be produced in Tangalle Magistrate Court today(April 07).
