Uva Government Medical Officers' strike ends

Colombo (News 1st): The strike action carried out by the Uva Province Government Medical Officers has ended. The coordinator of the Uva Province Government Medical Officers, Dr Palitha Rajapakse stated that the strike was ended after a discussion with the Chief Minister of the Uva province held last night. The discussions were not open to the media. Doctors engaged in a strike for three days alleging that the Chief Minister of the Uva Province had verbally abused the Director of Badulla Regional Health Services.
