Western and Southern Province governors at ASEAN-China Governors sessions

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Governor of the Western Province Azath Salley and the Governor of Southern Province Keerthi Tennakoon attended the "ASEAN-China Governors/Mayors' Dialogue" session at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2019 in Hainan. The dialogue this year, with the theme "ASEAN-China Connectivity and Hainan Free Trade Port," emphasizes connectivity between China and ASEAN countries by sea and air. The Asia Forum discussions were centred around on how to strengthen China-ASEAN industry cooperation, how to promote China-ASEAN trade and investment liberalization and on the opportunities and challenges presented by the Hainan Free Port to China-ASEAN cooperation and strategic alignment.
