Nadu and Samba prices reduced from tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Rice mill owners have decided to reduce the price of Samba and Nadu with effect from yesterday (March 30). According to rice mill owners, a kilo of Samba and Nadu will be reduced by Rs.15 and Rs.20 respectively. They stated that this measure was taken as a result of the booming harvest in the country. Meanwhile, the government stated earlier that a controlled price will be imposed on Samba and Nadu with effect from tomorrow (April 01).
