COLOMBO (News 1st) – Fourteen fishermen who were engaged in illegal fishing activities in the Daluwa shores in Kalpitiya have been arrested by the Sri Lanka Navy.

According to the Navy, two dinghy boats, illegal fishing nets and 40 kilos of fish in possession of the suspects have also been taken into custody.

The arrested suspects have been handed over to the Puttalam Fisheries Office for further investigation.
