COLOMBO (News 1st) – Sri Lankan Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne who was arrested earlier today (March 31) for driving under the influence and causing an accident at Borella has been released on bail.

According to the Police, Karunaratne was released on bail after he was advised to be present in court pertaining to this offence.

The accident occurred at around 5.15 am today (March 31) along Kynsey road in Borella, resulting in a three-wheel driver sustaining minor injuries.

The driver was admitted to the National Hospital for treatment.
