Colombo (News 1st): Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are considering entering into a prisoner swap agreement.

This was after a meeting between Minister of Justice and Prison Reform Thalatha Athukorale and Afghanistan’s Ambassador to SL Ashraf Haidari.

The Afghan Ambassador commended steps taken towards Afghan prisoners detained in Sri Lankan prisons.

Talks were held with regard to signing an agreement for a prisoner swap between the two countries.
