Ranil Wickremesinghe: Mastermind and orchestrator of Bond Scam - Anura Kumara

Colombo (News 1st): Leader of the JVP, Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed these views while attending the 'Balamandala' meeting of the Dambulla electorate. He noted that Ranil Wickremesinghe was the mastermind and orchestrator of the bond scam. MP Dissanayake pointed out that there are two sides to this bond scam; one side is the Central Bank which Arjun Mahendran belongs to and the other is Perpetual Treasuries. He questioned; "now on which side are investigations being carried out on?" JVP Leader noted that they still have not probed into the side of the Central Bank and current investigations are being carried out on the private company. He said one of the Directors of Perpetual Treasuries is Ranjan Hulugalle, whom the government arrested for his connection to the bond scam. He noted that Ranil Wickremesinghe had appointed him the Financial Director of Lake House and he was hiding at Shangri-La during the time of his arrest. MP Dissanayake pointed out that when he (Ranjan Hulugalle) heard that the police were on the way to arrest him, he fled in his Benz car and was being chased by the CID. Anura Kumara noted that he was heading towards Temple Trees, but unfortunately for him, the railway gates at Slave Island were closed and he was arrested. "Where do the rouges go? To the palace called Temple Trees. Isn't Ranil Wickremesinghe a rouge? He is not suitable for the post of prime minister, he is not even suitable to be the chairman of the funeral society of a village," said MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake
