Dubai drug bust: Nadeemal Perera and Prisons officer deported and arrive in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Singer Amal Perera’s son Nadeemal Perera and prisons officer Lalith Kumara have been deported from Dubai.

The police spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted that they have arrived early this morning and are being interrogated by the Criminal Investigation Department and Police Narcotics Bureau.

The spokesperson added that they are not placed under custody yet.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Amal Perera and infamous drug lord “Makandure Madush” who are in custody in Dubai are to be produced before the court on March 27.

Nadeemal Perera was recently arrested in Dubai together with notorious underworld leader Makandure Madush.
