Colombo (News 1st): The Court of Appeal issued an order that it will consider the writ petition filed by former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa seeking an interim injuction to prevent the case filed against him from being taken up at the Permanent High Court Trial at Bar, on May 6th.

The writ petition was taken up before Appeal Court judges Achala Wengappulli and Arjun Obeysekera.

Gotabaya Rajapaksa has also requested the Court of Appeal to make void the order issued by the Permanent High Court Trial at Bar which dismissed the preliminary objections by his counsel.
