Yasantha Kodagoda appointed as the President of the Court of Appeal

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Constitutional Council has approved the President's recommendation to appoint Additional Solicitor General and President’s Counsel Yasantha Kodagoda as the President of the Court of Appeal. In 2017 he was appointed as the officer supervising the institution of criminal proceedings based on investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigations Department. In the same year, he was appointed as Counsel Assisting Presidential Commission of Inquiry into issuances of Treasury Bonds. He led the prosecution in the case filed against those responsible for the Bond Scam.
