COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Public Health Inspectors Union states that they will begin routine checks of shops and vendors from tomorrow (Mar 25) inline with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival season.
The secretary to the union noted that they will continue this practice till the end of the festival season.
Meanwhile, the Consumer Affairs Authority notes that they have already commenced their raids across the country. The Director-General to the authority, M.S.M Fauzer noted that the operations will be carried out until April 20th.
