CEB announces Power cut schedule

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The CEB states that intermittent power cuts in the morning and in the afternoon will be in effect until the current power crisis is resolved. A senior official noted that both morning and evening power cuts are divided into three different sessions depending on the area. It could be from 8.30am-11.30pm, 11.30pm-2.30pm or 2.30pm-5.30pm. In the evenings it could be from 6.30 pm-7.30 pm, 7.30 pm-8.30 pm or 8.30pm-9.30pm. The CEB added that due to prevailing dry weather they are unable to supply the daily demand for electricity in the country.
