Colombo (News 1st): The second round of discussions for the formation of an alliance between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna was held at the office of the leader of the opposition today (March 21).
The Sri Lanka Freedom party was represented by the Party General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara, MP Thilanga Sumathipala, and party consultant Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa.
Representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna at the meeting was a group including the party chairman Professor G.L. Peris and MP Dallas Allahaperuma.
Discussions were focused on a policy document containing 20 core policies aimed at working together at provincial councils and local government bodies. The two parties are scheduled to meet again on April 10th.
