SLFP - SLPP alliance : 2nd round talks underway

Colombo (News 1st): The second round of talks between the SLFP and SLPP which is focussed on creating a broader alliance, commenced today (March 21). The discussions commenced this morning at the Opposition Leader's Office. General Secretary of the SLFP Dayasiri Jayasekara, Thilanga Sumathipala, and Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa represent the Sri Lanka Freedom party at the discussions while SLPP Chairman Prof G. L. Peiris, Dullas Alahapperuma, lecturer Jagath Wellawatta represent the SLPP. The first round of talks between these two parties on creating a broader alliance was held on the 14th of this month.
