Elephants vs Humans : Suriyawewa villagers unsafe

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A number of houses were damaged as elephants encroached on village settlements in Suriyawewa. The locals noted that they spend sleepless nights under the constant fear of elephant attacks. They added that elephants enter settlements in search of harvest stored on their properties. A victim noted that the existing electric fence is useless as it fails to contain the situation. A woman at the scene demanded a solution; a proper electric fence around their village to stop the suffering.
