Dilapitated cities in Anuradhapura to be rebuilt

COLOMBO (News 1st) – The 3rd reading of the budget will be held tomorrow. Following are the views expressed by UNP MP Ishak Rahuman and State Minister J.C Alavathuwla in parliament. Ishak Rahuman stated that the dilapidation of Kekirawa, Anuradhapura is due to insufficient funds being allocated for maintenance of the city. Rahuman went on to stress the need to rebuild the city. J.C Alavathuwla in response to Rahuman, said the government is aiming to rebuild the city using the funds allocated to the Ministry of Local Government and Provincial Council this year.
