15 students and teacher injured in "careless" bus accident

COLOMBO (News 1st): Fifteen people have sustained injuries in an accident between an SLTB bus and a private bus. The accident took place in Dehigahalanda area, Ambalanthota -along the Matara - Katharagama road. The News 1st correspondent in the area stated that the accident was caused when the private bus ran into the stationary SLTB bus. Police pointed out that the incident was caused by the careless driving of the private bus driver. A group of students and a teacher from a Galle school, who were on an educational tour, were injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the District General Hospital.
