Badulla, Nuwara Eliya experience minor tremor

Colombo (News 1st): The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau say that minor tremors were experienced in Badulla, Haliela, Passara, and Nuwara-Eliya this morning (March 16). News 1st correspondent in the area noted that the tremors that began at 8.16 am lasted for about 10 minutes. Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Centre Pradeep Koddippili said that there is no reason for the residents in the area to panic, as it was only a minor tremor. The Badulla centre of the Met. Department said that the tremors were felt at the centre as well.
