Five arrested when fleeing with seized van

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Five suspects who were fleeing after seizing a van have been arrested in the Ranala Janasavi road in Nawagamuwa. The arrest was made in an operation conducted by the police organized crime and corruption prevention division. The police said that the owner of the van was also found from inside the van with his hands tied. The suspects who are all between the ages of 28 and 30 have been identified as residents of Embilipitiya, Meegoda, Ranala, Narammala, and Kataragama. They are due to be produced before the Homagama Magistrates Court today (March 15).
