Moratuwa drug bust; CD containing visuals of Makandure Madush's father's funeral recovered

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Further investigations are to be carried out by Police Narcotics Bureau on the couple who were arrested along with a stock of heroin from Rawathawaththa, Moratuwa. Police stated that the investigations were handed over to the bureau following the statements taken from the couple. Importantly, a CD recovered from the scene includes the visuals of the funeral of notorious drug kingpin Makandure Madush's father. Investigations revealed that the house had been rented by the couple. The stock of heroin weighing 167 kg is estimated to have a street value of over Rs. 1,800mn.
