Colombo (News 1st): A body with gunshot wounds was discovered at a rubber plantation in Godellawatta, Kaduwela. Police said the body was identified as the 37-year-old, Chamila Prasad Karunaratna, a temporary resident of Gonawela, Kelaniya.

Police said the deceased was a suspect over the killing of a businessman by the name of Danushka Sanjeeva in Galewela, Sapugaskanda on December 12th. Several live bullets used for a T-56 assault rifle and empty casings were found close to the remains. Further investigations are underway.
