MP Rohitha Abeygunawardene vows to defeat budget

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The second reading of the budget debate is to be held tomorrow (March 12). MP Rohitha Abeygunawardene commenting on the matter said that UNP is a party that secured votes by using a different logo. He requests the public to not vote for the people who came into parliament through the national list and vote in favour of the budget tomorrow. Abeygunawardene vows that the budget will be defeated tomorrow. He said that although the government is going around mentioning prices for almost everything by using different techniques that it will all soon be defeated. He further said that the TNA parliamentarians are now being favoured and are being coerced to the government's side in order to win the budget. Abeuygunawardene also challenged the UNP backbenchers who are preparing to defeat President Maithripala Sirisena's budget overhead on the 13th.
