UPDATE: Galduwa heroin stock valued at over Rs. 10 Million

COLOMBO (News1st): The street value of the heroin seized from Akurala, Galduwa along the Galle-Ambalangoda route has been estimated at over Rs. 10 million. Two suspects were arrested last evening (March 09) for the possession of over a kilogram of heroin upon a raid conducted according to a tip-off. Preliminary investigations have revealed that this drug business was carried out for a long time in Galle, Akmeemana, and Hikkaduwa. A special investigation has been launched to crack down on this drug trafficking business. The suspects aged 43 and 58 years are residents of Rathgama and Urugasmanhandiya. They are due to be presented before the Balapitiya Magistrates Court today (March 10).
